Biography
Saumya Kumar works as Assistant Professor for the IFRC-TISS Programme in Disaster Management . She is responsible for teaching multiple courses for the online programme for humanitarian professionals worldwide and the programme's coordination and management. Besides the online courses, she teaches Transboundary Governance, Peace and Conflict Studies courses for the MA/MSc—programme in Disaster Management. Saumya is a Fellow of the Commonwealth Futures Climate Research, awarded by the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Her area of interest is - Disaster Governance, Disaster Recovery, Comparative Law, International Law, Peace and Conflict Studies.Asia. Saumya graduated from NLU-Jodhpur and is a postgraduate from NUJS, Kolkata, specializing in International and Comparative Law. She is pursuing her PhD at TISS on Climate Change Litigation in India.
